The last 5 months have been entered in order to obtain the Energy Identity Certificate (EKB/EPC) which is made compulsory in all buildings used as dwelling. As of January 1, 2020, non-EKB/EPC buildings will not be purchased, sold or rented.
Energy Identity Certificate
According to the Energy Performance Directive of Building No 5627, all buildings must have an Energy Identity Certificate (EKB/EPC). The EPC certificate prepared based on the characteristics of the energy systems and building details used in the buildings is provided to meet the heating, cooling, hot water, ventilation and lighting needs. Energy identity certificate is used to report the amount of energy consumed by numbers. Energy identity classifies the structures between A, B, C, D, E, F and G using the BepTR program developed by the Ministry of Environment and Urbanization.
